Binding secure--no loose or missing pages. No tears in text block.
Light shelf-wear. Edgewear to head and heel of spine, edges of spine at hinges and corners: well-rubbed but not scuffed, i.e no fraying of the cloth.
Red lettering on spine and front panel intact, if not as bright as new. Semi-circular white mark on front panel--otherwise the boards are reasonably clean. Corners somewhat rounded inwards by pressure--one lightly bumped. Very light rubbing to cornerss--not scuffed, i.e no fraying of the cloth.
Foxing to edges of text block. Spine slants forward slightly.
Tanning of front endpapers. Neat cursive gift inscription in pencil on front free endpaper; mottled tanning of rear endpaper.
Foxing on half-title, title page and introductory pages. Foxing on final pages, on rear free endpaper recto and opposite. Foxing in rest of text block otherwise limited to very edges of the pages, with occasional instances of heavier foxing, mostly in the page margins, throughout..
Corners of two pages folded due to a binder's anomaly,.
Dust Jacket Condition: Poor. Only the front panel and front flap (unclipped) included--near-severed and chipped at the hinge. Shelf-rubbed, edgeworn with small tears, tanned, creased, scuffed, and dampstained.
