Hand Signed and Numbered 122/200 by Peter Bilas! Of an old sailing ship in Table Bay, Cape Town.
Also signed in the print. Peter Gerd Bilas is an established professional artist specializing in the painting of sailing ships. His original paintings sell for high prices.
Print is on matt board, specially done to make it resemble an original painting. Print is 66 cm x 44 cm. Frame is 75 cm x 52 cm. Both are in very good condition.

Peter Gerd Bilas was born in Austria in 1952, although he has spent much of his life in South Africa. His interest in the sea and his consummate talent as a marine artist encouraged him to abandon a successful career in computers to concentrate on painting. He exhibited regularly and has won considerable acclaim at the renowned Mystic Gallery in the USA as well as elsewhere overseas.
His paintings are sold regularly by top auction houses here in South Africa like Strauss and Stephan Welz. His signed limited prints are now rare.
