Title: Vintage Alfred Meakin "The Hayride" Gravy Boat.
Manufactured By: Alfred Meakin, Made In England.
Height: 9.0cm.
Width: 11.0cm
Length: 17.5cm.
Date: The Crown and Name with England stamp on the base was used from 1945, the gravy boat is probably from the 1950's.
Pattern Code: MEA 64, The Hayride Scene.
Info: "The Hayride" pattern from Alfred Meakin, with a slightly scalloped edge, with gold trim on the edges and handle. 
Footed Gravy Boat with a charming old style look for the display cabinet or for the table. 
Alfred Meakin Ltd was set up in 1875 and operated from the Royal Albert, Victoria and Highgate Potteries in Tunstall.  Alfred Meakin was the brother of James and George Meakin who ran a large pottery company in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent.
Condition: Very Good, the pattern and gold trim is in very good condition throughout, rarely used and has been in a cabinet.
