Working in conjunction with the Pretoria zoo in South Africa, Ann van Dyk's efforts over two decades has resulted in major achievements in the breeding of what was once a threatened species - the cheetah. Over the years more than 400 cheetah cubs have been born on her farm in the Magaliesberg, west of Pretoria. This is the story of Ann's efforts, at times cruelly thwarted by man and nature, and at times jubilantly successful.
