Hardcover tenth impression published April 1937 by Jonathan Cape, no jacket. Maroon cloth boards with gilt titling and characters on the front are lightly worn but square, with bumped corners. Apart from minor foxing in places, the pages are clean and unmarked, and are maroon dyed on the top and rough cut on the bottom edges. The photographic plate between pages 94 and 95 is loose, and so that edge has been slightly creased. Page 96 is also loose.
