I have recently had the privilege of meeting the artist Vincent Olivier in person. I have his permission to post the following personal information regarding him as the man lives a very private life (Not even WhatsApp or fb)
Vincent Olivier born 1936 in Port Elizabeth. First ever painting was in 1952 at the age of 16. Worked a full time job so paintings between 1952 - 1996 (Retired) are limited. Only after 1996 did the artist start painting as a full time career hence most of the artworks dating 97' upwards
This is painting 2 of 4 from the same 80's collection - this one is also signed and dated on the back of the board by the artist
