Mostly unknown outside of southern Africa, this book is hands-down one of the best field guides ever published. It contains beautiful illustrations and ample descriptions about the plants and their usage. I've visited nine African countries and have lived in two of them. I purchased this book after seeing numerous safari guides with tattered editions of their own. It is one of my favorite field guides and I highly recommend it! Although Botswana's Okavango Delta is specifically mentioned in the title, the book is quite handy for any country in southern Africa
