Victorian Silver Miniature 'Watering Can' (1891)
This charming, very collectable, scarce solid silver Victorian miniature novelty 'Watering Can' is beautifully made with lovely repousse detail. It features various rural scenes, with trees and sheep, a seated lady receiving flowers from a gentleman, as well as other scenes. It is stamped on the base with numerous continental silver marks, and English import hallmarks for London 1891, with silversmiths initials 'LL' for 'Lewis Lewis'. The lovely miniature is in great condition and functions as a watering can with water coming out the spout nozzle. It measures 75mm from handle to nozzle x 32mm, stands 34mm high (50mm to top of nozzle) and weighs 24,6g.
