Hard cover book in perfect condition - A few were apparently published by The State Library Pretoria in 1985 - Brown boards with gold title on front - Contains extracts from The Story of an African farm and Dreams ; with a new preface by C. Clayton - Looks unread - Includes loose Christmas card inside from the State Library - Apparently these books each with a card inside were given to V.I.P.s and State Library staff in 1985 - Card has a Christmas message in English and Afrikaans and seems to be hand signed by Hans Aschenborn. - There was, of course, the famous artist with the same name but this was his son Hans Jurgen Aschenborn who was the director of the State Library and receiver of the Sailis Award for Bibliography.

I found this picture of him on google and realized that I remember him from my student days way back when.
