Lot of Anglo Boer POW war memorabilia. I bought this lot of Anglo Boer War items on an antique auction, but I could not get further information on their history. Except for 5 wooden napkin rings, all of the items seem to be made of unfired clay. Some of the items have been repaired as indicated. The lot consists of:
- A Bible on a stand inscribed "Mrs. Hartley Xmas 1900". The Bible has been repaired.
- A hand holding a heart on a stand. It is inscribed "A New Years present from. G.J.C. Knoetze.To.Mrs. Hartley V.G. 1,1,1901". The hand has been re-attached.
- A 2 container condiment holder inscribed "Presented To Mr.& Mrs. Hartley By Political Prisoner V.G.". It has not been repaired.
- 2 Napkin holders inscribed "R. Hartley V.G. 31,7,1901" and "M.A.R. Hartley". They have not been repaired.
- 2 Napkin holders inscribed "R. H." and "M.A.R. H" with a floral design. They have been repaired.
- A floral stamp inscribed "21,3,1901". It has not been repaired.
- A little locket inscribed "V.G". It has not been repaired.
- A little Bybel inscribed "RH". It has not been repaired.
- 2 Little bowls that are not inscribed. They have not been repaired.
- 5 Wooden napkin rings - 1 is carved with fruit.
