Absolutely beautiful French solid silver pocket watch case. Marked 0.800 on the inside for 80% solid silver and maker's mark E.J.
Shield and buckle design on engine turned patina finish. Turn of the century French design from before 1910. Edwardian era.
Over 17 grammes of solid silver. I weighed the silver while making this and the silver component alone weighs over 17 grammes.
The inside cogs and one of the springs, an ornate fast slow switch and one of the hands have all been preserved behind glass for an attractive fashion piece pendant. Better than steampunk. Glass is on securely. After jewellery conversion it is new and never worn.
Case in really excellent condition, shines up very well. Bezel on top in perfect shape, ready for chain and for wearing.
Case is 45 mm wide, 15 mm thick.
