Inspiration Behind the Painting:
I live on the foot of the Tradouw Pass in Barrydale. It's a truly beautiful landmark with so many nooks and crannies. One of these is a waterfall picnic area which was my inspiration for this piece. You can feel the oxygen in the air when you sit there and listen to the water trickling and the birds singing. Can you picture yourself there?
It's a peaceful space which is what I want to convey in this painting.
