Hardcover first published April 1950 by Juta & Co. The jacket is whole, but marked, worn and creased in places, with some peeling of the outer layer along the spine. The boards are lightly edge-worn with some white surface marks, the corners bumped, and the spine is cocked. There is a pen gift inscription on the first end-paper, otherwise the pages are clean and unmarked.
