Width of Milk Jug: 13.5cm.
Diameter: 10.0cm.
Date: The Crown and Name with England stamp on the base was used from 1945, the jug is probably from the 1950's.
Pattern Code: Unknown, I have searched for this pattern without success, there are dealers calling it heh "White Horse Country Inn", I am assuming they have also been unable to get the official pattern name.
Info: "The White Horse Country Inn" pattern from Alfred Meakin, with a slightly scalloped edge, with gold trim on the edges and handle.
Footed Milk Jug with a charming old style look for the display cabinet.
Alfred Meakin Ltd was set up in 1875 and operated from the Royal Albert, Victoria and Highgate Potteries in Tunstall. Alfred Meakin was the brother of James and George Meakin who ran a large pottery company in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent.
Condition: Good, some rubbing on the gold trim on the handle and around the edges, the jug is in good condition.
