This is an extremely fine Victorian lithograph, part of one of the most accomplished series of Victorian prints every made, from the celebrated book "Views in the Holy Land, Syria, Idumea, Arabia, Egypt and Nubia " , published by E.G. Moon in London between 1842 and 1849. There is some very interesting information on Wikipedia on this series of lithographs.
By: Roberts, David , R.A. and L. Haghe , lithographer
Publisher: London, F.G. Moon, 1847
Detailed Description:
In excellent fine state. . Engraving is 43 cm x 36 cm. Not cut down. Text at back of thick paper on the Portico of the Temple of Kalabshe, Nubia, proving authenticity. Loosely attached to mount card, supplied by Harold T. Storey, of 3 Cecil Court, London, along with his authenticity sticker at the back. Mount card is suitable for framing and is 51 cm by 43 cm., in excellent condition.
For South African buyers, courier with the mount is only R99 via Postnet to Postnet or The Courier Guy to towns and cities, a bit more for outlying areas.
For overseas buyers, I would prefer to send the lithograph without the mount card and protected in a roll as this would greatly reduce transport costs for you.
This exact same print sells for up to $500 overseas, see abe.com, so the price is an absolute bargain
