The Brand "PeDe" is the abbreviation of the name Peter Dienes. This German opened up his own Factory in Remseheid in Germany in 1869. He concentrated on and specialised in manufacturing quality Wooden & cast Iron Coffee Grinders and was well known. The Company later, after the 1900's, moved to incorporating Electric Coffee Grinders. This was after his sons Friedrich & Peter Gotlieb inherited the Company after their fathers death in 1899. A stunning piece of coffee history that is over 100 years old.
