Official philatelic document in format 210 x 297 mm printed on pure Arches vellum made by the postal and telecommunications administration for the postal museum. It consists of an original cancelled stamp of the first day stamp, the text of the official notice, the printing of the original hallmark, a monochrome engraved illustration and a dry printing of the stamp printing press.  This official philatelic document has been printed in a limited edition.
 
Marie-Henri Beyle, better known by his pen name Stendhal, was a 19th-century French writer. Best known for the novels Le Rouge et le Noir and La Chartreuse de Parme, he is highly regarded for the acute analysis of his characters' psychology and considered one of the early and foremost practitioners of realism.
