An important reference commissioned by the Geological Society of South Africa in 1986. Only 3500 copies of the standard issue were printed and the set on offer was housed in the library of the Western Deep Levels mine in Carletonville.
Both books are in very good condition; red skivertex boards pristine, ditto gilt lettering on both copies. All pages clean and unmarked, save for ex-libris stamps on prelims. All maps present and in perfect nick. Dust wrappers in good condition; intact with very minor edge wear and and a few chips. This is a heavy set, and may incur additional postage. Seller will communicate if necessary.
