Hardcover (160x115mm) first published 1979 by Scolar Press. The jacket is whole, clean and unmarked, as are all the pages. "These diaries, written in pencil in two small notebooks, came to light when they were sold in 1976. Private Horace Bruckshaw of the Royal Marine Light Infantry fought at Gallipoli and died on the Western Front. His diaries consist of a terse reporting of what he felt and what he saw, illustrated with sketch-plans of trench positions and cartoons."
