Victorian Solid Silver Berry Spoon (1860)
This impressive, fine quality, Victorian, sterling silver berry or dessert serving spoon from the mid 1800's is in superb condition. The bowl is beautifully embossed with fruits and berries and still retains its original gilding (gold wash). The handle has a lovely chased and engraved decoration on both sides, with a heart shaped cartouche on the front with an engraved monogram. The spoon was made in London in 1860 by silversmiths 'Elizabeth & John Eaton' (EEJE) (mother & son). It measures 21,7cm in length and weighs 65,7g.
