A collector's item for cooks and lovers of old books.
This South African cookery book is a real treasure, not only because of the many old recipes, but also because of the quaint advertisements spread throughout. This very thorough book starts with the importance of the kitchen and stove, followed by food principles, cooking terms and recipes for every type of food. There are even "old Dutch dishes" such as "fricadelle", "bobotee", "sasaties" and "Boontjes Bredee". With black and white photographs.
