30 November 1914 postcard from "ARMY BASE P.O. / SOUTH AFRICA / 4" by member of the NATAL FIELD ARTILLERY (N.F.A) with handstamp of the "MAJOR COMMADG. "C" BATTERY"  addressed to member of "ENSLINS HORSE at ARMY POST OFFICE, JOHANNESBURG." Army base 4 was located at LUDERZBUCHT at the time, and is considered the FIRST OCCUPATION POSTMARK of SWA. The card also carries the "POSTAGE FREE / BASE 4 / PASSED BY CENSOR" cachet.

A very scarce campaign mail item as per scans below. Top left corner has crease.
