Title: Vintage Wick-Werke Rhein Castles Stoneware Ornamental Vase in Cobalt Blue.
Manufacturer: Wick-Werke pottery, Made in Germany 1937.
Height: 13cm
Diameter: 9cm.
Info: Raised images of Castles along the Rhein River in Germany, depicting Drachenfels, Kochem, Godesburg and Gondorf Castles. A stoneware vase with a Grapevine pattern on the foot. Marked with the number 2 9 37 and a W, indicating a manufacturing date of 1937. Cobalt Blue colouring make it a striking and tactile piece.
Based on a company agreement of 14th January 1922, Wick-Werke, Vereinigte Fabriken Merkelbach & Wick u. Merkelbach, Stadelmann & Co, was registered as a public limited company or Aktiengesellschaft  on 7th March 1922 and changed the name to Akt.- Ges. Wick-Werke, Vereinigte Fabriken Merkelbach & Wick u. Merkelbach, Stadelmann & Co. 
Wick-Werke continued in production until the business closed in 1984. 
The factory was demolished in 1999.
The following designers either designed the pottery for Wick-Werke, or put their decoration on standard pieces.
Theodor Otto Hahn  Carl Moos  Paul Neu  Franz Ringer.
Condition: Excellent, a well cared for piece, no issues on the vintage stoneware piece.
