The 4Hs Multipower Pumps (4Hs Mp) are a new range of pumps from 4Hs Pumps that come with a built-in inverter and can be powered by renewable energy sources. These pumps can be powered by AC or DC with a wide operating voltage range (90 - 265 VAC / 90 - 340 VDC). They can be connected to solar panels, batteries, wind turbines, and diesel generators. A special software algorithm allows for adjusting the hydraulic performance based on the power source and available power, maximizing the pumped water. The 4Hs Mp pumps are equipped with a helical rotor that moves within a double helix rubber stator. The rotor is made of AISI 316 stainless steel and coated with a hard chrome surface. During operation, the rotor moves on the rubber surface and is lubricated by the pumped water. The flow rate is directly proportional to the pump speed, while the supplied pressure remains almost constant. Unlike centrifugal pumps, the helical rotor pump provides high head even at low RPM, ensuring water delivery even with very low available power or low irradiation. Additionally, the helical rotor pumps have higher hydraulic efficiency compared to centrifugal pumps with the same flow rate, reducing the number of PV panels required for the application.
