This is a Chinese propaganda poster, circa 1960s, which says: "Speech at the Yan'an Literary and Art Symposium ---Mao Zedong The Yan'an Literary and Art Symposium was a forum held in 1942 in Communist controlled China. Mao Zedong gave a famous speech there which several party members disagreed with. One assumes the head held by the man in the picture are the heads of Mao's opponents in this issue. 38cm high x 25cm wide.
