Original publisher's maroon cloth with gilt spine titling. 363 pages including glossary, bibliography, general index and authors index, 9 pages of preliminaries. 48 diagrams including two fold-out charts, one of which has small smudge marks on a fold. Neat gift inscription in pen on the first end-paper, and the occasional marginal in pencil within the text.
