Operation:
- Filter: Filters out sediment and dirt from the pool water, letting only clean water back into the pool.
- Waste: Directly pumps the pool water through the MPV to the waste pipe, bypassing the filter sand bed. Ideal for times when the pool has a high buildup of dirt and leaves.
- Closed: Shuts off the MPV, preventing water from the pump from passing through the filter. Use this position during the cleaning of the weir and pump basket.
- Backwash: Dislodges and washes away dirt and particles from the sand bed, cleaning your filter effectively.
- Bypass: Allows water from the pump to bypass the filter sand bed. This is helpful when using pool chemicals as directed.
- Rinse: Pumps the pool water through the filter down the waste pipe. Use this after backwashing to rinse and settle the sand before switching back to the filter mode.
NOTE: Always ensure to turn off your pump before changing valve positions. Do not operate the pump with the valve in the closed position or when switching valve positions.
Remember to refill the pool with fresh water after backwashing and rinsing to re-establish the original water level.
