A cheerful and beautiful earthenware Plate from Royal Doulton. The Persian chintz pattern features yellow and pink parrots surrounded by foliage on a blue background with, with a black and white lattice trim. This pattern was introduced between 1912 and 1918 is quite rare and highly desirable. Base reads: (Lion over crown) Made in England, Royal Doulton,England 597783/D4031/6.

There is what looks like a slither chip on the edge of the rim.I am not sure if it was glazed over in the firing.
