Lourens River in Somerset West is where the driftwood is sourced and has tumble through the water from high up West Peak mountain. The stone is from a farm in the Karoo called Klipplaats because it is littered with flat stones. They come together on a stained pine base and are finished with an unusual wooden shade that casts a vast and moody shadow.
