Hailed as one of the original Bright Young Things of the 1920s, prolific English author Beverley Nichols (1898-1983) wrote more than 60 books, including novels, children's books, mysteries, short stories and poetry, as well as works on travel, politics, religion, celebrity profiles, cats and gardening.
A Village in a Valley, the third book in Nichols's Allways trilogy set in the English countryside, is the hilarious memoir about the village in which he lived. There are many adventures, country thrills and village rumours. With beautiful pen drawings by Rex Whistler. First published October 1934 by Jonathan Cape. This is the second impression of the same month. Condition: Very good for its age. Light foxing on edges of book block. Cover has small tears at edges.

POSTAGE: Please add R60 to book price. We use Paxi courier (Pep Stores). Please supply the address of your nearest Pep Store. 3 to 5 additional books will fit into your Paxi bag, still only R60. For faster sending, choose Courier Guy. R90 for up to 2 kg.
