Fabulous Georgian Silver Cream Jug (1822)
This fabulous, fine, antique silver cream jug from the early 1800's is decorated with wonderful repousse floral work, with pretty embossed flowers and a decorative grape vine handle. It was manufactured in London in 1822 by one of England's famous women silversmiths 'Rebecca Emes' who went into partnership with 'Edward Barnard' not long after her husband, 'John Emes' death. This lovely cream jug is in excellent condition with clear hallmarks and a faint family crest on one side of the jug. It stands 8,5cm high, with a handle to spout measurement of 11,5cm and a weight of 136,1g.
