The GTO Evoluzione is the racing version of the production model, the 288 GTO. It was 40% lighter than the production car, delivered 650bhp and could do 370 km/h. In total six cars were developed and all of them are believed to still exist. Of these, one is owned by the factory and another is assumed to have been used as a prototype during the development of the F40.
