Highly regarded monograph on this superb South African artist.
With his accomplishment and sensitivity for line and colour he had early in his career won for himself a lasting place among South Africas foremost contemporary painters. His painting technique is distinctive to the point that there is even said to be a Gregoire style.
Over hi s40 years of work he has created thousands of drawings, watercolours, oils and pastels.
With the assurance of what he was aiming at went to the capacity to express it artistically. His work is remarkably simple, free from mannerisms and affection and he has remained true to his own impulses and to himself.
