Hardcover published by J.L. Van Schaik, 1930. The jacket is rubbed, worn and has chips and short tears to edges. The bottom edges particularly are stained with red dye / ink, mainly on the rear panel, and there are other clear brown stains along the edges and up the folds. The boards are slightly bowed, with some of the red staining on the rear bottom edge. The pictorial paste-downs depicting Kudus leaping, and end-papers, are tanned, and also have some liquid staining to edges, in patches. There is scattered foxing to external page edges, but the pages are clean and unmarked.
