A beautiful, rare find, this antique Austrian / Viennese heavily gilt silver & enameled spoon has finely detailed cherub handpainted enamelwork in its bowl, with various colours of enamel painted on the stem and finial depicting the bust of a woman. The spoon has some enamel loss consistent with age, and we opted not to clean the gilding as to leave it with its beautiful patina. See photos for details. These spoons demand high prices in the European market due to their scarceness!
