Toc H (also TH) is an international Christian movement. The name is an abbreviation for Talbot House, "Toc" signifying the letter T in the signals spelling alphabet used by the British Army in World War I.
This is an earlier (30s/40s?) Toc H enamel lapel badge.
Octagonal face measuring 15mm across. The lamp,
rim and writing are gold on black. The reverse is a kind of crescent
shaped fastener which we believe twisted into lapel button-holes.
Makers name and address stamped into reverse (H.W.Miller, 116
Branston St, BHam 18).
