Identifying plate Type and stamp Position:
- The attached scan from a plate position site, show how to identify this stamp plate position (see the red and violet arrows) referred to as unique guide dots. The scan of the stamp bottom right, matches these guide dots (and other markers), which indicate plate position 29R1L (29th stamp on right pane of plate 1 Late recutted). This was confirmed by a USA Early Issue specialist.
Condition:
- 3 Wide margins.
- Very-fine design positioning as per Scott Specialised, the rough edges is not uncommon for this early issue imperf stamp.
- Light pen postmark resulting in unobstructed design, showing vibrant blue colour, and clear lines (no fading or unclear design feautures).
- As can be seen from the bottom part enlargement, the adjacent stamp to the left, and adjacent stamp to the bottom is shown. The stamp to the bottom clearly shows a recut in top oval line.
