Title: Vintage Maddock Indian Tree Milk Jug.
Manufactured By: John Maddock and Sons, Burslem, Staffordshire England.
Height: 8cm
Diameter: 9cm.
Year: The Lion with the "Maddock" name on the stamp was used in the early 1930's.
Description: Pretty little jug with lovely flowering tree pattern. Attractively edged in gold around handle and base.
Info:John Maddock & Sons Ltd. 
Royal Vitreous, Majestic: Burslem, Staffordshire.
History: Founded in 1855 - the pottery is no longer in operation 
It was last known to be in operation in the mid-1960's.
Maddock was a manufacturer of Earthenware of various kinds. 
The "Ltd" on the stamp was added to the title in 1896. 
Vitrified or Royal Vitreous  was added circa 1880-1896.  
1842 - 1855  "J. Maddock" 
circa 1855-1870 J. Maddock "and Son" was added. 
circa 1870 "and Sons" was added to the stamp.
 
Condition: Very Good.
