Hand-painted by Nation Dee for Nivek Africa, the bowl features a captivating scene inside, depicting a giraffe and two zebras against a backdrop of wild trees, grass, and a serene blue skyline. The interior boasts a black zebra motif with grey shadows on the rim, adding depth and character to the piece. The exterior of the bowl is adorned with four majestic elephants and palm trees, adding to its allure.
Accompanying the bowl is a large tray, hand-painted by Thulani Mtaunzi for Nivek Africa. Together, these pieces create a harmonious ensemble that showcases the beauty of African wildlife and landscape.
Despite their size, both pieces are in great condition with minimal wear. The underside of the tray shows grazing on the reverse, but this is not detectable with fingernails.
