Irish Georgian Silver Serving Spoon (Dublin C.1750)
This lovely, very early, Georgian, Irish solid silver fiddle pattern serving spoon from the mid 1700's is in excellent condition. It is stamped with a full set of Dublin silver hallmarks, including the makers mark 'J.S' for 'John Sheils'. The date letter is not easy to read, but due to the frame of the punch stamps and other hallmarks, I'm convinced they date between 1747 and 1772. It is also engraved with a family crest and monogram on the terminal. The spoon measures 25cm in length and weighs 76,7g.
