Kojic Acid Dipalmitate is available in white to pale yellow colored solid powder. Due to better solubility in mineral oils and alcohol it is well absorbed onto the skin surface.

Recommended percentage use= 1-5%
HOW TO USE-
Add it to the heated oil phase with isopropyl myristate.
Keep the oil phase at 80 C for five minutes till it dissolves completely.
Add this mixture to the water phase for emulsification at the same temperature for 10 minutes.
You can mix in Kojic acid powder into your cream or lotion by either dissolving it first using a double boiler method before adding into your cream or lotion.
Or you can as well add the powder into your cream or lotion and stir while you leave it to dissolve on its own.
NOTE: Kojic acid powder isnt water soluble, that being said, it cant easily dissolve in water, therefore its going to take hours for it to completely dissolve into your cream or lotion.
How much kojic acid dipalmitate powder to add to lotion?
Calculating percentages in a lotion is very straightforward, and guidelines have been shown below. To make a 2% lotion, use 2grams of the Kojic Acid Powder in a 100gram base lotion. To make a 5% lotion, use 5grams of the Kojic Acid Dipalmitate Powder in a 100gram base lotion.
It is also good to pair kojic acid with other ingredients that address skin discoloration through different mechanisms to disrupt the biological pathway of melanin production from multiple angles, Azelaic acid, licorice powder, retinoids, arbutin, and lactic, acid, Niacinamide.
