Info: A charming pair of vintage English Beer Tankards in the classic England Country Inn style. The "Peacock" Inn in Rowsley and the "New Inn" in Shrewsbury. Perfect companions on the well lit Bar display or suitable for display in the cabinet. The Peacock at Rowsley, originally a manor house, is now a boutique Peak District hotel located in the heart of Derbyshire. Close to the market town of Bakewell and a stones throw from Chatsworth House, the hotel offers an excellent base for exploring the Peak District. The hotel is part of the Haddon Estate and enjoys close links with Haddon Hall where The Peacock owners, Lord and Lady Edward Manners, currently reside. "New Inn" in Shrewsbury, A Shropshire pub has reached a special landmark after being owned and run by the same family for 100 years. The Arthur Wood Pottery was based at the Bradwell Works in Longport, Stoke-on-Trent, the premises of Capper & Wood established in 1884 producing primarily teapots. In 1967 the company acquired the Carlton Works Pottery and continued manufacturing ranges under the Carlton Ware name. Trading continued right up until 1989 when the company became part of Price & Kensington Potteries. The Globe stamp was first used in 1954 by the factory. Condition: Good, there is an antique style crazing on the glaze however the pattern and gold trim on the top, base and handles of both Beer Tankards is in very good condition, no chips or cracks at all.
