Unused Swedish Nostalgi postcards, A5-size (21 x 15 cm) showing various car makes. These cards were issued by Forlag (publisher) Håkan Eriksson in Falkenberg and they are very collectable. All are having a 5-digit code (A5) or a 3-digit code (A6) on the back side which was the order code when the publisher was still in business.
Puch Dakota (Puch VZ 50) was a moped model manufactured by Puch 1965-1981. Dakota was of a standard model similar to a motorcycle but with the difference that the engine, compared to most other mopeds, was fan cooled.
The model began in 1965 at the Puch factory in Steyr, Austria . In 1966 the model began to be sold in Sweden where it was named Dakota. Dakota was supplied in British racing green only during the first year of 1966. It was sold in red from 1967 to 1970. The classic blue color called Dinoblå was used in 19701982 and the model could also be purchased in gold paint 19721975.
Another model, called the Dakota 3000, was built between 1975 and 1977. However, it had a completely different modern design (the same as the M50, Monza, Monza 3C and Arizona). What sets it apart from the others is above all the fan-cooled engine extracted from the regular Dakotan.
Production ceased in 1981 with 1982 as the last annual model. The model was discontinued as it would be too costly to buy new manufacturing tools for a model that was then only sold on the Swedish market.
