Superlative Royal Doulton figurine "Penelope," H.N. 1901.
Penelope was designed by famed Doulton artist Leslie Harradine in 1939. The figurine was retired in 1975, making this piece a minimum of 46 years old.
Penelope is seated on a beautifully colored plinth, doing needlework, with a bowl of fruit on the plinth. She is dressed in a rose and soft pink flowing gown, with baby blue bow and shoes. Approx size 18 x 13 x 10cm
