Hardcover fourth edition, first impression published October 1933 by Hodder & Stoughton, no jacket. The cloth boards are clean, square and solid, with some very light wear to edges in places. An inscription is written in pen on the first end-paper. Gilt to top external page edges. The frontispiece portrait tissue guard is present and intact. There is a small chip to the edge of the title page, and some creasing to the very fine pages, that are otherwise clean and unmarked.
