The Santa Cruz Shredder and Sifter is a medium-sized four piece medical-grade anodized aluminum herb grinder from SANTA CRUZ SHREDDER. These shredders are engineered to perfection and by many these are considered the best grinders in the world.
Their unique patented design offers teeth twice as strong that will never dull and never release burrs or flakes of aluminum. Comparable grinders cut once — letting bb-sized chunks pass thru the holes without further grinding.
Santa Cruz Shredder teeth are designed to cut both ways, which include clearances on both sides of the teeth (not to slice or smash flowers), but to cause them to consistently "FLUFF TO PERFECTION".
The shredders use Neodymium Diametrically Magnetized Cylindrical Rare Earth Magnets. Nickel-Copper-Nickel triple layer coated for maximum durability and protection against abuse & corrosion. Santa Cruz Shredder prides itself for the Medical-Grade Ultrasonic Cleansing procedure that uses high frequency sound waves and a medical-grade solution to remove ALL contaminates.
The shredders are totally scratch resistant thanks to its anodization treatment. Anodizing is an electrolytic passivation process use to create a strong protective coating for aluminum that prevents corrosion, wear resistance, and "galling" (failing) of threaded parts. After an acid bath we suspend them in special tanks that pass an electrical current through the item creating a strong protective surface. Anodizing changes the microscopic texture of the surface and changes the crystal structure of the aluminum near the surface.
Made in Santa Cruz, California, the 4 piece design makes grinding, storage and sifting convenient in one design. Each Santa Cruz Shredder comes with a precision machined triangle collector to scrape the pollen from the bottom. The triangle can also be stored in the mid section as well to assist in the separation of the pollen. The triangle is specifically designed to fit the edge perfectly.
