The Art lens include three FLD glass elements, three SLD glass elements and three aspherical lens elements, including one large-diameter aspherical element. This optical system is designed to effectively reduce the chromatic aberration and other optical aberrations which commonly occurs in other lenses.
Weather-Sealed Construction
Sigma has specifically designed the 14-24mm f2.8 DG HSM Art Lens to perform in harsh environments as it features a highly effective dust and splash proof structure with special sealing at the mount connection, zoom ring, cover connection and the manual focus ring. Additionally, the front of the lens is highly protected by a special water and oil repellent coating that makes cleaning of the lens much easier.
