Coupled with its ability to soften the periphery of blurred images while enhancing the three-dimensional impression of an object, its 24 cm minimum focusing distance makes it suitable for snapshots to table top photos, or any imagery where you wish to make your subject stand out.

Easy-to-carry size offering high optical performance

While there is a tendency in the industry that full-frame mirrorless cameras being more compact than DSLRs, no user would like to compromise in the lens performance.  In pursuit of the optimum balance between size and image quality, Sigma has figured out the answer and this is the lens we developed to cater to all the requests in everyday use.

It has achieved both of the easy-to-carry size and high optical performance. Also, another notable feature of this first generation DG DN prime is its bokeh expressions. 

Spherical aberration has been controlled to ensure not only the large bokeh in the front and rear of the subject but also the rear bokeh near the area in focus to create a gradient to a soft blur. 

This lens softens the periphery of blurred images suppressing the double-line bokeh and enhances the three-dimensional impression of the subject with the smooth expressions in the foreground and the background.
