A scarce 1917 edition of The Boy's King Arthur, Sir Thomas Malory's History of King Arthur and His Knights of the Round Table, edited for boys by Sidney Lanier, illustrated by NC Wyeth, published 1917 by Hodder and Stoughton, London.

 

Book I - Of King Arthur; Book II - Of Sir Launcelot du Lake; Book III - Of Sir Gareth of Orkney; Book IV - Of Sir Tristram; Book V - Of Sir Galahad and Sir Percival, and the Quest of the Holy Grail; Book VI - Of the Fair Maid of Astolat; Book VII - Of the Death of Arthur. With 14 lovely full-page colour paintings by NC Wyeth.

 

Condition: Fair. First three pages loose with water blemishes on these pages. Spine loose in front. Rest of book in good condition, except for faint water damage on some pages. Tears at bottom of pages 243 to 246. Front and back endpapers stained by water marks. Condition of cover: Fair. Top right-hand corner somewhat damaged by water, also ripples on back caused by water. Head of spine has small tears. Spine sun-bleached.
