Edited by Angela James and Nina Hills with a foreword by Countess Buxton. Hardcover 1937 first edition published by John Murray. The paper jacket is edge-worn and rubbed on the folds, with several chips and tears to the edges. The spine is sunned. The cloth boards are clean and square, though the spine is faded. The pages are clean and unmarked, with the exception of an inscription on the first end-paper, by Emilie Solomon, who is twice mentioned in the book and is likely the cousin of Mary Brown, the subject of the book.
